DYSO will be a free place for the teens of the Dundee Community to hang out after school!
The program is starting in 2010 and will be located on the 2nd floor of the Dundee Village Office.
DYSO will offer a safe and supervised place for Dundee Youth to socialize , do homework, participate in activities, and learn how to get involved in their community in a meaningful way.

1. Reduction in ATOD use among youth.
i. Reduction in school-based ATOD incidents.
ii. Reduction in county-wide ATOD self report use rates (30 day and lifetime)

ii. Increase in % of students going onto higher education

Project Summary:
- The Dundee Youth Service Organization (DYSO) serves to provide the youth of the Dundee Community with a safe and constructive environment to be at outside of school. DYSO will offer regular afterschool and holiday programming for Dundee High School students (and eventually Middle School Students).
- The organization will exist as a non-profit entity governed by a collaborative multi-sector board. The DYSO Center will be staffed with screened and trained community adult volunteers.
- Programming will include social/ recreational activities, academic support services, and community/ civic engagement activities.
- DYSO will rely on in-kind community support initially, but will apply for long term sustainable funding through youth service funding organizations dedicated to supporting prevention programming and service learning organizations.
